A little progress on The Knox Family Sampler

This photo shows the first line of the sampler. The alphabet and initials are stitched one over one.

This was taken over three weeks ago. I have made more progress since, but I will have to wait until my camera is repaired to post.

I never realized before just what an inconvenience it was to be without a camera!

Knox family is coming along. I look forward to seeing more, as this is one of the samplers I purchase when I first started. I haven't worked it yet, so it is nice seeing yours.

Since designing this sampler I have seen at least four more almost identical. The sampler I worked from was badly damaged hence the scene at the bottom filling in for missing parts. The other samplers like this have an elaborate double running stitch maze worked in the space where I have put the houses. I hope to find another sampler from this unknown school and reproduce it entirely.
