New Start JCS 1707

Hello everyone! I am so glad we are continuing this blog! On New Year's Day, I started the sampler JCS 1707.  Unfortunately, the frog prince arrived so I had to rip out what I started and redo last night.  I may also stitch another Scarlet Letter sampler this year once I get the supplies.  I usually stick to one sampler, but I am just in love with so many!! I'll update everyone once I get the supplies.  This year has been so busy already.  I celebrated my birthday, had Christmas then went to work the next day.  Here we are almost the third week of January.  I'm looking forward to spring and warmer weather.  Thankfully, I am no where near the polar vortex but am hoping for everyone's sake that it goes away pronto!! Some of the icy photos I've seen are just astounding.  Enough babbling, here's my minute start on JCS.

I am stitching it on 36 ct. Newcastle linen in cream using NPI, DMC and AVAS silks.

Looking forward to watching everyone's new projects grow this year.

Hugs

Anne

Love the new start you decided on! I have been eyeing this pattern too since seeing it posted in the gallery. So very different! I will enjoy watching your progress!

This sampler is on my one day to do list. I love it. I have seen it finished online and it is outstanding. Enjoy

I look forward to seeing updates on your sampler. It is frustrating when you think you get a good portion done and that frog visits. A pretty start.

JCS, is a great piece. One am a sure you are going to enjoy. I am also a one sampler girl. I always finish before I start a new project. I feel like I am getting more accomplished, but with this group, I'll never keep up. Thank goodness my sampler walls are almost full.

I have never used Newcastle linen but from your photo it looks a very fine linen.

I am looking forward to seeing JCS grow.
