Never-Ending Alphabets!

Silly me!  I thought once I reached the alphabets on Ann Grimshaw, things would move along a little faster.  Two weeks into them now and all I can say is, "Not so much..."

They've been enjoyable, but come on already....

Ever feel like the more you stitch on a piece, the further off the final finish is?

I am soooo ready for this big girl to be done! Waaayyy too close to the finale to give up, but waaayyy too far from it to feel much enthusiasm.....

You are nearing the finish line! It looks beautiful! I have had this chart in my pile for a few years and when I see it stitched in blue I really can't wait to get started! Can't wait to see your finish! Hope I can find some threads like the ones you used.

Let me tell you a story Mary....Ann Grimshaw was the very first SL sampler that I saw online. It was quite a few years ago and I fell madly in love with her...I could not think of anything else...LOL...but the size put me off...I was a very busy mom with two young children and I was afraid I would get discouraged and put her away, and I just didn't want to do that to this beautiful sampler....so I waited...and waited...and waited....and then Nicola's SL year started and I waited some more but I was getting my courage back thanks to all of you and your amazing samplers....anyway then I saw YOUR Ann, fell in love with her all over again and yes I ordered her and have even put in a few stitches ( I just have to finish up a few other projects and then I can work on her full time :) ) so hang in there...she is beautiful and she gave me the push I needed to start my own Ann. So I am cheering you on like the rest of our friends and saying..." You can do it! " And what a finish it will be!

Patience, Mary, just think of the
wondrous creation of your hands you will have to display when it's
completed. Through the "struggle"
you are discovering the strong fibre of which you are made...just
look at how determined you have been. The colors are so lovely and this piece will win you kudos evermore. On with it ~

The end is in site..... What a wonderful piece you will have when she is finished and a large on at that. Then the fun begins, picking just the right frame. Enjoy......

Every stitch done is one less to do -- even though it sometimes seems otherwise. I look forward to seeing it finished.
