My first 2014 finish!
I was wanting to finish this sampler over my Christmas break and it didn't happen so I was determined to finish it on New Year Day and I just managed by the skin of my teeth. I think I stitched for 12 hours on it.
The unveiling of Religion.
Solitude, Religion, Virtue
30ct Linen by Weeks Dye Works over one
Needlepoint Silk # 998, 921
I am still working on two other samplers for the stitch along, because one is just never enough, but progress is going along slowly.
There has not been lots of progress on this, but I have found that I can see it best at work so I am limited to my lunch hours and then only some as work some times leaks into the lunch hour.
This project may take me years... I love the look of the 40 count silk gauze, but boy it sure takes tons of stitches to fill a small area.
My son has already requested this sampler so I do have an incentive to speed it along.
Jane Parish is the last sampler that I'm working on and now I can spend more effort on her since I have found my Religion. I love the colors on her I wish this photo showed them a little better.
So I hope that you all make lots of progress on your samplers these last two months and I'm so glad that we will be able to carry on through out 2014. It has been a great joy seeing all of your samplers and follow along with all of your stitching adventures.
Back to stitching!
