I haven't seen this one before but the border rates right up there

OK, this countdown is getting to be very bad for me. Samplers I hadn't taken a second look at, I suddenly need to have. I like any border, but prefer strawberries. I like the border to be narrow and delicate too.

Such a pretty sampler!! I would love to be put in the hat. I love flower borders that ornate and delicate...like Hannah's :D

The whole sampler is exquisite. I keep looking at the Sally Morse sampler, I really like the border on it. It is a simple border but it's geometric design appeals to me.

Love the bird band on this sampler.

What a delight it would be to

Lovely sampler and one I also haven't noticed before. Given the number of happy hours I have spent looking at the SL website, over the years, it is amazing the hidden treasures I haven't even noticed! I don't have a favourite border but always get a lot of satisfaction from finishing a good, fat border.

A comment for Wilma -

This sure is a pretty border on Elizabeth Rawlins. I also love the border on Sarah Siddal and if the flowers on Jane Atkinson can be considered a border than that one is my alltime favourite border!

I see that I am not the only one who hasn't noticed this beautiful sampler before. Now it is on my 'must have' list.
I like all sorts of borders, especially wide flower borders.

I like a flower or strawberry border.

I saw an old sampler with a border of grapes and grapevines. Even though the colors were faded and the fabric frayed, it was stunning.

There are so many wonderful borders, classic strawberry, carnation, trefoil and delicate or chunky leaf borders...I love them all.

This is a lovely sampler. I dont have a particular favorite sampler. Most borders seem to be perfect for the samplers that I pick.

I agree that most borders seem to be perfect for their samplers. The first border that comes to mind is the floral border of Tablet Sampler.

Another beautiful sampler! I agree with Joanne...the SL site has a lot of hidden treasures there. Love it. I find that I like all types of borders....in fact the borders usually help draw me to a sampler. This one is wonderful.

This is one I hadn't seen before. It's really pretty. I like borders that have a definite repeat. I like the rythm you get into when stitching them.

Gorgeous! Love, love, love thsi sampler. And, like others, had not noticed it previously. Like Kim, this Sampler Advent is becoming an issue...more and more that I "must" have. And, like Laurie, I love the bird. Favorite border? Probably something with a vine.

So pretty! I am usually drawn to the border on a sampler. There are so many beautifully stitched borders out there from elaborate florals to simple satin-stitched sawtooth designs. Love them all!

The Hart Lives border--it's all the red

Comment for Barbara G - I haven’t given much thought to borders as I usually like band samplers but I think I would prefer the Jan Atkinson type rather than the small motif “viny” type.

I love this sampler. I don't have a favorite border, but tend to like borders in general. I've been collecting border patterns so I can create my own border sampler.
