Getting there slowly

It has been two months since I last posted. Although I work on this most nights, I don't seem to get anywhere quickly. The left side commandments took  4 weeks itself to complete. The right side is much sparser.
Hopefully I will finish before the blog ends. One foot (stitch) at a time. The pretty flowers are keeping me interested.
I am enjoying  seeing and reading everyone's great work. So many beautiful samplers. Fantastic.

That is absolutely beautiful. I am also working on it but not half as far as you. Congratulations on the stitching of the commandments. I have yet to have started them. You are an inspiration to me.

Such a beautiful piece! I can see how the floral border would keep you interested even with all the verse! Laura

OH !!! Seeing your beautiful stitching has given me a dilemma. Tonight I will be on the last leaf of the border and then I was going to replace the tablet and commandments with something completely different. Now I think I will be making a mistake.

Your Tablet looks STUNNING !!!!

Hi Jennifer. Fabric is Permin ecru, home dyed with tea and coffee. Granulated coffee is great for reproducing those little spots seen on old samplers. Thanks everyone for the inspiration to keep on. I know it will be worth it.

Isn't this a stunning sampler. I always enjoy looking at mine as I walk up my hallway. I know that you feel like the left side would never be finished, but you are now in the home stretch. The left hand side isn't as bad. I did what you are doing and worked the border along the Psalms. Keep it up, its looking beautiful. - Sandra

Stunning! The floral border makes this so beautiful. If it wasn't for some of the photos on this site, I would not have looked twice at some of these gorgeous samplers. Looking forward to your updates.
