My Garden is Blooming

The Tablet Sampler

What a beautiful sampler this is, you really have to see it to appreciate the delicate design and colouring. Thank you Marsha for charting The Tablet and giving us the opportunity to stitch her.

The Tablet Sampler

I could not resist adding some tiny beads.

I am afraid this is going to be an adaptation rather than a reproduction and my intentions are to replace the tablet with a poem although nothing is cast in stone (excuse the pun) LOL !

Summer has come to our little cove today but before I can sit and stitch out of the heat of the day I have lots of chores and a doggie walk to do first.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day.

Such a gorgeous border - thank you for sharing the details (and the beads are a sweet touch, too). I've skimmed past this one in the catalog many times and never had any idea what I was missing.

Your view is divine..... Just perfect for hours of stitching and mindless relaxing.... But, alas, the pooches do need us as do a few chores on our list..... Then, back to heaven... The Tablet s coming alon and the punch of color from the flowers is gorgeous...... Nice job, Faye

The floral border is lovely on this sampler. I really like that you add your own twist to your samplers and I can't wait to see what you decide to place inside the tablet. How do you get any stitching finished with your wonderful views beyond your windows?

The floral border on this sampler is exquisite! ... and, of course, it calls for a few beads to embellish it!
Lovely work, Nicola, can't wait to see what you decide for the middle section! :)

Oh my, this is a beautiful start. I love the idea of adding some beads. I would love to watch the seasons change in your cove, just beautiful.

Nicola, this is gorgeous!! I, like Kate, have skipped over this one on the SL web site never realizing how beautiful a border it has. I'll be interested to see what you decide for the inside portion. And your view...truly heaven.

Boy I'm not sure any stitching would get done if sitting with that beautiful view! The Tablet sampler is looking wonderful. I love how you take each sampler and add some of your own. In 100 years who ever looks upon your samplers will just think you went to those paticular schools of needlework. Same over all sampler, yet modified by each student, it just takes a more creative mind to adjust from the charted graph. I love it!

Oh wow - beautiful! I love your idea of replacing the tablet writing with a poem. You are inspiring me to do in the same in the future.

I am envious of your stitching spot - you are a lucky gal!

Oops, forgot I had a question about the last photo. I can't get the perspective well - is that a floor stand that you are using for your Millennium frame?

The sampler is just beautiful and what a beautiful backdrop! What is the finished size, it looks like your using large sidebars on the frame.

Nicola, Your stitching is absolutely gorgeous. I love the flower border and the fact that you will personalize the center. I will have to look at some samplers differently now to see if I'd like to makes changes. What a beautiful view to stitch by.

If I had your gorgeous view, I would never leave home! Your 'Tablet'' border is so beautiful! I am still waiting for my LL Magnolia linen to come from my online needlework store. I can hardly wait to start mine. You'll probably have yours finished by then. What poem are you thinking of stitching in place of the commandments? I will continue to watch your progress. Kay Lynn
