The Winners Are .........

1st of May already, this year is going by so quickly. Between the two blogs there have been over a thousand posts and well over 9,000 comments. We are going strong.

Our finishes gallery is filling up with some wonderful samplers. I am so inspired by everyone's work and it is a joy to follow your progress.

We have quite  a few giveaways to draw today

PICTURE THIS

The answer was Anna Maria Barfoot. Congratulations to Julie Holleran. Thank you Ray for your sponsorship.

WHICH SAMPLER

Think of one six letter word of which this poem has lots of examples of:-

Poor as a church mouse.

strong as an ox,

cute as a button,

smart as a fox.

thin as a toothpick,

white as a ghost,

fit as a fiddle,

dumb as a post.

bald as an eagle,

neat as a pin,

proud as a peacock,

ugly as sin.

When people are talking

you know what they'll say

as soon as they start to

use a cliché.

The answer was Simile. Congratulations to Michele Moulin-White. Thank you Marsha for your sponsorship.

Wow... I won. I'm looking forward to receiving the Westair pewter Victoria and Albert 1840 commemorative thimble and the book on the Textiles at Sulgrave Manor. I visited Sulgrave Manor on my England tour of needlework.
Thank you for your generosity!
