Thank you for the lovely comments. Yes there are quite a few specialty stitches in this version of Rebecca. There are 2 versions of this sampler in the packet. There is the specialty stitch version which this is and there is also a straight cross stitch version.For this version the sampler is made up with cross stitch, stem stitch, satin stitch, bullion stitch, french knots and also there are some algerian eyes thrown in as well. Oh and there is also some straight stitch for the leaves on the trees etc.Rebecca was stitched on 40ct antique white linen.

All I can say is ... oh my, oh my, oh my!! Absolutely beautiful! Congratulations on a wonderful accomishment.I just ordered "Rebecca" after finally conquering my fear of the freehand stem stitch ;). I have always loved this sampler and can only hope my results will be at least half as beautiful as yours. Once I get her started I may be in touch for some "hand holding"!Again, CONGRATULATIONS!
Sandra,Don't be sorry for all the photo's, your sampler is lovely. I just wish we were able to in large the photo's to see all the wonderful stitching up close. Spectacular! She is so beautiful. I think I like the flowers best--which of course we couldn't see to full effect without enough photos. I like enough to see details.
