My take on Jane is Framed

My take on Jane is back from the framers, not with the frame I chose - that turned out to be discontinued, as was my second choice. Here she is with my third choice.

Whilst we always remember the day of our anniversary as it is Christmas Eve and Ray's birthday we can never remember the year.

After a search for our marriage certificate (took along time) I now do not have an excuse for not knowing the year as I have stitched it onto the sampler.

I have taken lots of liberties and it far from a reproduction but am very pleased with the results.

My next start is Joanna Warren but I am having fits with the large creamy flowers at the top. If anyone has a close up photo of one of them stitched please, please email me. I stitched one last night and ripped it out. I am a very neat precise stitcher and mine looked so messy.

Hugs to each and every one

Lovely sampler! I think it looks nice in this frame. As for Joanna Warren - wow, that is quite a sampler! I have it in my stash, never started it.

It is beautiful. Nicola. You have done an awesome job with Jane, as with all of your other finishes.

I have this n my stash and plan to stitch this one of these days. That is what I keep telling myself about most of my stash, but haven't succeeded so far !

Your take on Jane is wonderful. I had to chuckle when you said that you couldn't remember the year you were married. I always have to track in my mind too as to when I was married. I think that the frame is wonderful too even though it wasn't your first choice.

I just have to stitch her some day!

Nicola I bet Jane never thought you would stitch her sampler several hundred years later as a wedding sampler! It is ok to take license every now and then. Adam and Eve are the perfect subjects upon which to stitch a wedding remembrance. Now you'll never forget the year! I love your third-choice frame. She looks right at home in it. Besides Manifesto, what are you starting next? Thanks for your friendship!

Sorry Nicola! I just saw your next start is Joanna Warren. I totally love the colors in her sampler. They are so different from most other samplers! I'll be glad to watch your rapid progress. How do manage to stitch so fast? Teach me your secrets!

Nicola, this piece is so beautiful!Your stitching is amazing as always.I love the fact that you like it to be neat and perfect. I was raised old school and remember my mom saying whenever I sewed a garmet, that the inside should be so perfect that you could wear it inside out.
Your frame really suits the sampler.
