Slow Progress

This is the rather small amount of progress I've made so far on Elizabeth Burrows. I'm finding it really tricky to cross stitch over three threads, it just doesn't seem to come naturally. Sad really, the woman with the PhD can't count to three. Still, I'm getting there. I'll probably just nicely get the hang of it when I have to switch back to over two.

It's looking really nice. I love the two colours, they contrast with each other and highlight the letters really well.

I have never heard of a chart that called for stitching over three, I think I would find that a little strange too.

Keep at it though, it is looking lovely!

Christine, it is a beautiful start. I don't know if I could stitch over three.

What wonderful colours Christine. My mind bogggles at the thought of over three, I don't think it would come naturally after all the hundreds of thousand of over two I have stitched.

Stick with it Christine! It was tough for me as well, but after a few frogging episodes and getting past the first row, and actually paying attention, it got easier and moved along a lot faster.

Love the colours. I'm with you and would definitely find stitching over 3 kind of unnatural.

Oh, over three. That goes against every instinct doesn't it? But it will be so worth it. Irene xxx
