Manifesto

Manifesto

Just got home and was so excited to see a package from Marsha. It felt just like Christmas morning with bells on..

There are so many beautiful threads and the most gorgeous linen. The chart is so well written and easy to read, well worth every penny.

Now am I going to be able to wait until my designated Manifesto day on Sunday to start ............ ummmm ............ I will try my hardest.

I was wondering how many of us have received our charts and are ready to start.

So far I know that Karen, Donna, Sandra and Deb have. Anyone else?

I did not sign up for the SAL, as gardening season will soon be upon me; however, I did order the chart. I planned on using DMC, but after seeing your gorgeous silks, I may have a change of heart on my threads!

I'm not participating on the Scarlett Letter blogs but I'm loving watching everyone's work. This sampler though is really tempting me and those silks are to die for!

Oh I hope I don't regret this I am using dmc and the colors look so flat compared to the silks that seem to pop with color..but I'm not starting over

Love-Love those silks, Nicola!

I'm using DMC...I will be mounting my 40 ct. silk gauze this afternoon and I hope to begin one day this weekend! I might just stitch along with you on Sundays!

Happy Stitches,

Those silks are beautiful but alas I too am going to use DMC. I really like working with cotton. I am ordering the chart - in fact the envelope is hanging out of my mailbox as we speak waiting for the mailman to pick it up and to go on its way to the SL. She is only about 35-40 miles from me so it should get there fast. (I am hoping) so I should get my chart by next week (mid week hopefully). I can't wait already - LOL Anxious to join those of you who are stitching Manifesto.

WOW. Nicola. Doing a happy dance for you. I am so happy your kit finally arrived. Your silk colors are to die for. But as Donna said. "Ain't starting over". I do hope you enjoy stitching her as much as I am. She is so hard to put down. I am so looking forward to seeing your progress and bet you can't wait till Sunday to start. :)

Happy stitching my friend!!

Isn't it amazing how many silks are needed for this piece. I'm just using DMC for this one, but really wish that I had gone with the AVAS. I started mine last night and I'm so addicted to it, but it's going to be a Wednesday night stitch so I'm going to have to wait until next week to work on it again! :o(

I have mine as well as all of the supplies. Like Holly, I am doing mine on silk gauze with DMC but I have yet to mount mine. I have company until next Tuesday so I won't be able to start mine until then but I am really looking forward to it! I have never worked a piece this large on gauze so this should be interesting!! Wow, that's a lot of silk. I didn't order the chart yet but I'm tempted to do so.
Tried to enlarge the picture but couldn't. :(

Those silks look lovely Nicola. I can't wait to see your progress pictures! I would be tempted to jump in with you, but I bought Hannah Carter late last year and I am determined to finish her before I commit to another solidly filled piece. So tempting though!!
