Hi all, I finally have something to show.  I have been working a little on this and that but finally finished the verse on Sarah Willson.  It took quite awhile because it is on 40 ct linen and my eyes are not what they use to be.  Here is a picture of the verse.

I also did a little in the lower left hand corner - a very little.

I also received my Manifesto yesterday so dug out some linen and will also be going for DMC tomorrow - wow 101 skeins of cotton.  Whoa - that will take a long time in front of the DMC rack at JoAnn's.  Am so excited to start it.  I will be usisng 40 count linen.

It is so exciting to read everybodys comments and see all the beautiful samplers being stitched.  Just love being a part of this SAL.

Hi Brenda, Your sampler is beautiful. You did a great job on the verse....I will enjoy watching your progress on Sarah...I love the over sized people on the bottom half...I too love being a part of this SAL. It is so much fun to watch all these samplers being created and I love the variety and each stitchers creativity. My list of samplers to stitch just keeps growing...grins...

Brenda, are you stitching with a songle thread of DMC on the 40-count?

Brenda, your Sarah Willson is looking fabulous! I started this sampler a year or two ago. I don't know why I didn't stay with her because I do love her. My next sampler was going to be Marion Robertson, but your beautiful Sarah may be telling me something different!

Thank you all for your very nice comments. First of all Kim, the verse is not 1 over 1 - it is over 2 - it is just rough for me because of failing eyesight. FlyawayJil - I am using a single thread on the 40 ct linen on Sarah Willson. I use reading glasses, also a magnifying glass and an Ott lamp to be able to see. If it is really sunny out I can get away without the lamp but I love 40 ct so I still struggle stitching on it.

Wow Brenda!!! Your sampler is just stunning! I love the colors a lot.... And I keep reading about Manifesto... When I saw the kitted project with silks for 515.00, I knew if I ever stitched it, it would definitely be with DMC also.... Can't wait to see yours....

Brenda!! I'm so glad somebody is stitching Sarah. I got this sampler as soon as I saw her. There are so many aspects of this piece I live. What I want to know, the graph had a terrible mistake in the border. Do you know if Marsha has reprinted this or not? If your graph came in one piece I'm assuming it was corrected. If you would let me know I would appreciate it. Thanks

I absolutely love this sampler and your work is breathtaking.I'm so excited about starting this pattern.I have the pattern and all of the silks but I get hung up on fabric. I like working on the LL fabrics but without a needlework shop nearby,I end up guessing...not always a good idea!!! I notice that some of the stitchers post their fabric selections.Would you mind sharing your choose of fabrics for Sarah Willson. I would be so greatful.Thank you so very much, Carolann

Hi Carolann - I am not sure what the linen is because it came as a kit from The Scarlet Letter. It is 35 Ct and maybe a Sandstone - not sure. Maybe Marsha could fill you in as to what linen is in that sampler kit. I think I said something is a recent comment that Sarah Willson was being done on 40 ct but after looking at the instructions for that sampler it says 35 ct. Anyway maybe Marsha could help you out as to what linen it is. I love Sarah a lot and am anxious to finish it.

Thank you Brenda. I'll e-mail Marsha Monday AM...I'm sure she'll sell me the fabric. Don't you love this SAL? I love samplers but I was never too keen on reproduction samplers....that's changed. The more I see posted, the more I want to do. I'm working on "Emma Miles" now...there's alot of over one...I swear my eyes are bleeding! I'm about 1/2 done and already planning the next one.(and the one after that) Thanks again, Carolann

I love, love, love the color in this sampler! Are these kitted colors, or did you make your own choices?

These are the kitted colors. Yes they are beautiful.

Beautiful. Another one I must do. I am sure I have the kit for this somewhere, just have to locate it.
