Emma Miles - My Weekly Progress

Here is a progress picture of this week's progress on Miss Emma!  She is a delightful stitch! I will continue to stitch on her again this week since I am ahead of the game on Attic Needlework's SAL of Ann Bowers.

Please forgive the unpressed nature of my piece.  I didn't have time this morning to press her before I left for work!

I am enjoying everyone's beautiful progress pictures!  Keep up the good work.

I am also going to join Nicola in her mini SAL of The Manifesto!  I have purchased the chart and have ordered my 40 ct. silk gauze!  Now, I am waiting to find out what threads are being used!

Happy Stitches,

Miss Emma is looking so beautiful and yes it must be a delight to see her growing as you stitch.

I have never worked let alone seen silk gauze and would be interested to learn more about it.

Wonderful progress! I am starting to think I must be a slow stitcher. I guess I need to watch less tennis while I stitch.

I ordered the Manifesto this morning and found a half yard of silk gauze in my stash. That should be enough!!
I've never stitch a piece this large on the gauze so it should be interesting! Laura

Emma is looking great.

Hey, Laura....I think you have more than enough silk gauze (40 count) for The Manifesto. I think the finished piece should be 9 1/2 inches by 15 inches.

I look forward to watching your progress;)

Emma looks great, Holly! Looking forward to stitching the Manifesto with you as well. It will be interesting to see your work on silk gauze, I don't think i could handle such small work.

Holly, your Emma is looking very pretty. I can't believe how much you've been able to accomplish on her since you have been doing other crafts, stitching and finishing.

I'm loving her more all the time, aren't you?

Hi Holly,

Your Emma is wonderful. I am stitching Emma as well and she is so much fun to work on. I just finished the 2nd over 1 A&E last night. A little more border work to do and then I can move onto the holly band which is what I love the most about this sampler. Good luck to you on the over one. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be.
