Bird in Bough

I was supposed to have gotten one of my Scarlet Letter WIPs out to work on after finishing Emma Miles. So much for good intentions. I'm finding it hard to resist starting new projects when confronted with all the beautiful samplers that have been featured on this new blog! I have a feeling I'm not the only one who has added to their SL chart collection recently.
I couldn't resist stitching Bird in Bough. It was a small sampler and relatively quick stitch. My sampler is stitched on 36 ct. Lakeside Vintage Pecan Butter linen with a variety of silks. I did not have most of the AVAS colors charted for this sampler. Here is my 'interpretation' of Bird in Bough.

Just Gorgeous - there is nothing better than a new start! I always find WIP's difficult to get back into, so a wee bit of a new indulgence is OK by me! -

I know you must have enjoyed stitching this little fellow!! He is so cute sitting there on his perch. Your "interpretation" of colors for this is really pretty. The little bird looks so handsome. Congratultions on your finish.

Really gorgeous, I love the colors you picked. It reminds me of the Kathy Barrick CHS designs, I wonder if she took some of her inspiration from some of the SL samplers.

Laurie, you sure are a fast stitcher. We need a "quick" piece for that sense of accomplishment. I really like seeing the piece close up.

Your Bird looks great Laurie! I have this kitted too and might have to get it started soon. Yours is the first I have seen completed.

I find that I have this pattern in my stash. I didn't start it because the colors seemed bland, but after looking at yours, I will add it to my collection of Scarlet Letter Projects. I think your finish is beautiful.
